Specialist Practitioner Qualification (SPQ) Standards of proficiency for Community Nursing Specialist Practice Qualifications (District Nursing.)
Are you a dynamic, hardworking and innovative registered nurse looking to develop your career? Are you ready to become a student again? We are currently offering permanent contracts and funding for course fees, in preparation for taking on a key role in delivering the community health agenda in Lothian as Trainee Specialist Practitioner District Nurses.
Successful candidates will be invited to study on a full time basis of 37 hours for 12-18 months dependent of prior experience*. A range of opportunities and locations will be discussed at interview.
Successful candidates will be remunerated in line with their current salary, and applications are welcomed from nurses currently working at Band 5 or Band 6. Upon successful completion of the course you will be offered a post as a Specialist Practitioner District Nurse within Lothian Health and Social Care Partnerships. Graduates will be expected to consolidate practice within the District Nursing Service for two years post registration.
