SEN Teaching Assistant

Pay: £85 - £95
Full time - Temp to Perm
8:30am - 3:30pm – Monday to Friday - Term Time Only!
Must have experience supporting Social Emotional and Mental Health, Autism, Complex Needs, Behaviour
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED
DBS must be on the update service / must be willing to apply for a new DBS!
GSL are working with an amazing SEN school in a rural area which has just had a brand new site added to the school including small group hubs, performing art studio, brand new kitchen/dining area, sports hall and much more! This particular school are huge on staff progression and well-being, also any temp-perms they will help with you qualifications such as Team Teach.
The role includes working on a 1:1 basis with children who have challenging behaviour, Social and Emotional Mental Health, Autism.
You will be required to provide individualised behaviour interventions within your role as well as always ensuring the child’s safety.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with challenging behaviour and Mental Health in either an Education or Alternative Children’s Provisions as a Support workers, youth worker, ex prison/ security staff and children’s residential care workers or Teaching Assistant.
Care workers from social care back grounds and those with personal experience will also be considered.
The Ideal Candidate:
Will have previous experience managing challenging behaviour in groups and or on a 1:1 basis.
Should have experience working with children, young people or young adults with mental health requirements, challenging behaviour, or Autism.
Available immediately
Will have a Clear Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce/ Child and Adult Workforce) registered to the Update Service. – If you do not already have a DBS, we can help you apply for one.
Available for Full-Time Work – Monday to Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
Teaching Assistant qualifications or equivalent (not essential)
