Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Andover, Hampshire

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-Time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming secondary school in Andover, Hampshire. This role offers a salary between £17,500 to £19,500 per year (depending on experience), with a start date available ASAP or from Easter 2025. A permanent contract is available following a successful probation period. In this role, you'll provide vital support to students who require a more tailored approach to their learning, helping them build confidence and achieve success.
Responsibilities as a LSA:
* Provide in-class support to students, ensuring they remain engaged and focused.
* Work closely with the class teacher to help deliver lesson objectives.
* Assist students with their learning, adapting resources where necessary.
* Encourage and motivate students to develop their confidence and independence.
Requirements for the LSA:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
* A patient and compassionate approach to working with young people.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the students.
* Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
