Quarriers South Ayrshire Youth Housing Support Service are currently recruiting a full time Transition Mentor to support young people aged 16–25 years who may be homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The service aims to support the Council’s goal of reducing levels of repeat homelessness by providing a high-quality housing support service through our supported accommodation in Ayr and our outreach services across South and East Ayrshire.
The Transition Mentor you will provide on-going support and be a positive role model for young people who receive support and to access opportunities engage positively within their communities through social diversionary activities and inclusion, promote positive social network and encourage engagement with friends and family as appropriate. Working directly with young people you will gain their trust and support them to engage in learning experiences that promote their educational attainment, academic qualifications, self-confidence, independent living skills and resilience.

Working pattern: Our Outreach support service, supports young people 7 days per week between working hours 8am - 8pm You will be part of a 4 week rolling rota working weekend on weekend off and 8 hour day shifts.
We require the successful candidate to have a full driving license and access to their own car.
