Are you experienced in supporting children with Special Educational Needs, predominantly those with Autism, Speech and Language needs, and additional learning needs?
Sugarman Education is recruiting for individuals who are available for a minimum of 1 to 5 days a week (depending on your availability) and can reliably commute to provide daily cover to our clients within the Borough of Croydon. This will require being on standby from 7am on the days you have indicated you are available and working from 08:30 to 16:00.
The ideal candidate will:
1. Be proactive, engaging, and reliable.
2. Have a DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one.
3. Have classroom experience, tutoring, or mentoring.
4. Be available from 7am during the week and be able to be on standby.
5. Have classroom and SEN experience (essential).
In turn, you will receive:
1. Consistent support from a dedicated consultant.
2. Experience in a range of schools.
Duties include (but aren't limited to):
1. 1:1 support with a child or small groups.
2. Supporting the class as a whole.
3. Assisting the class teacher.
4. Fostering relationships with parents.
5. Caring for children during break times and lunch times.
6. Supervising children during activities.
7. Managing challenging behaviour.
8. Motivating children and being an excellent role model.
