Title: Assistant Manager, Audit
Location: Bristol or Birmingham
Salary: £50,000- £60,000 (depending on experience)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an outstanding individual to join our global advisory client as Assistant Manager in their Digital & Risk and Advisory Services. Our client works with a diverse client base, allowing exposure across various projects. They also have big growth plans and lots of room for progression with any new team members.
In this exciting role, you will supervise and/or manage multiple assignments of high complexity and variety in line with our client's approach. As a firm with culture at its core, we expect you to challenge the norm and help us redefine our approach while seeking continuous improvement. You will work closely with Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners, build amazing client relationships, assist with strategy, and drive marketing and business development.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Delivering or supervising work across a portfolio of clients in different sectors.
2. Business development across the region and nationally where applicable.
3. Delivering risk management, corporate governance, and internal audit assignments.
4. Developing an audit strategy and risk assessment with the leadership team.
5. Identifying and managing risks on client engagements.
6. Leading work, driving quality, and making a difference through differential recommendations.
7. Being a people leader and helping our ambitious team develop their careers.
8. Taking responsibility for commercial elements of client management.
9. Attending Audit Committee meetings as appropriate.
10. Prioritising work to devote resources to areas of highest risk in line with the audit needs assessment.
You will be someone with:
1. An inquisitive mind and a willingness to challenge and innovate every day.
2. ACA, ACCA, MIIA, or CCAB qualification and relevant experience in risk management and internal audit.
3. Awareness of compliance, legislative, and market issues relevant to client businesses.
4. A proven track record across Audit, Risk & Controls, Corporate Governance, and Risk.
Desirable:
1. IT assurance experience.
2. Experience of working with large and listed organisations.
3. Third-party attestation services experience (for example ISAE3402 etc.).
4. Project management experience.
5. A full driving licence and own car is preferable - flexibility to travel on a regular basis locally with potential for wider travel if required.
