We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader with a passion for transforming services to lead our busy and fast-paced Transformation team at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS – a critical function in supporting the Trust to respond to national operational and financial pressures, whilst delivering our longer-term strategic ambitions.
Responsible for delivering our Transformation programme, you will be a senior transformation and programme manager adept at delivering an ambitious change programmes, finding new ways of working to deliver cost and quality improvement.
You will be used to working in a complex system, managing sensitive issues and competing priorities. As our Head of Transformation, you will work alongside senior leaders within the hospital, the broader health and care system and with regional and national organisations.

The Head of Transformation will have overall accountability for major transformation programmes and report into key Executive decision-making Boards, providing high quality and visible operational and strategic leadership.
They will drive the overall direction of the Transformation programme and ensure this aligns with the Trust strategic vision and corporate objectives and lead the delivery of all the Trust’s project and improvement programmes, working across the Trust (and with the system partners as required) to ensure that improvement is driven, embedded and supported by the Divisions and Directorates.
The post holder will also be responsible for supporting a culture of innovation and improvement across the Trust through regular sharing of ideas and best practice along with ensuring effective implementation. In addition, the Head of Transformation will further develop the reporting and governance framework that provides accurate and timely information to enable effective management of the individual programmes as well as assurance to the Trust Board.

Main duties and responsibilities
Leading the programme teams in managing the delivery of transformation projects, including the management of changing demands and pressures that may impact project delivery.
Leading operational management of the Transformation team and change projects/schemes to best practice project and Transformation team standards. Embed the Trust’s Programme and Project Management process which includes setting goals, objectives, resources, risk management, milestones, benefits and outcomes.
Providing senior programme leadership across all projects.
Maintain a coalition of support for the Transformation programme from the Clinical Divisions and all other Directorates to ensure effective delivery and implementation of the agreed transformation programmes.
Develop relationships and influence to ensure ownership of Transformation is achieved and that supportive and sustainable performance management frameworks are put in place.
