Job Title: Associate or Director Level Planner\n Location: Edinburgh\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate or Director Level Planner to join a well-established and growing team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director to lead the Edinburgh Office and oversee the management of the team. This role is ideal for an experienced planning professional with a strong track record in business development and leadership within the Scottish Development Industry.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nWork alongside the Managing Director to lead and manage the Edinburgh office.\nOversee and support the planning team in delivering high-quality projects.\nDevelop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry professionals.\nLead business development efforts to grow the company's presence in Scotland.\nProvide strategic planning advice on a range of projects.\nEnsure successful delivery of large-scale commercial, city development, public sector, renewable energy, and housing projects.\nRepresent the company at industry events, meetings, and public consultations.\nStay up to date with planning regulations, policies, and industry trends.Experience & Skills Required:\n\nChartered Member of the RTPI.\nStrong leadership and team management skills.\nProven experience in business development and client engagement.\nA successful track record in large-scale commercial, city development, public sector, renewable energy, and housing projects.\nExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.\nStrong understanding of Scottish planning regulations and policies.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious planner to take a leadership role and make a significant impact in the Scottish planning industry.\n\nInterested?\n \n The hiring manager is looking to meet with suitable candidates ASAP so if you meet the above criteria, please contact Josh Jones on (phone number removed) or (url removed)
