We are now in the market for a Financial Controller who will be responsible for preparing information on the financial results and direction of the business, working closely with Ruroc’s CFO and Head of Finance to drive strategic financial planning through analysis of financial performance. You will be managing a small finance team and will have a hands-on operational responsibility across the department. Main Accountabilities Delivery of monthly management and financial accounts (Group consolidation & legal entity including a China-based manufacturing facility). Management accounts preparation, delivered on time within a 5 to 10-day close. Delivery of monthly board pack and weekly trading meeting pack. The owner of all financial processes and controls which ultimately ensures the safeguarding of the company’s assets, including review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Delivering real-time accurate financial information to key stakeholders. Treasury management – maximising payment terms and preserving cash. ERP system user who fully understands the depths of NetSuite (or experience with other well-known ERP systems) and its potential. FP&A system user who fully understands the depths of PowerBI and its potential. Strong excel and business modelling skills including ownership of consolidated budget model & process. Consolidation of monthly and annual accounts, including close of years trading, balancing of ledgers and production of annual Statutory Accounts with auditors. Liaison across Ruroc’s financial stakeholders; investors, banks and supporting firms (e.g. auditors). Understanding and supporting the business on profitable business growth, highlighting opportunities and risks. Leading the preparation of global tax calculations (Corporate and sales taxes e.g. UK VAT, US & EU sales taxes). Review and implementation of process improvements across the department. Cash management and cash analysis, which is presented to the Board on a regular basis. Control of business systems and controls, providing insight and challenge to fellow senior managers. Management of a small team, providing guidance and support. This Role Is For You If You CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified. May be looking to make a move out of practice into industry. May have experience working in a D2C/Retail environment or similar. May have experience using an ERP system (ideally NetSuite) or a stand-alone complex financial system with WMS and eCommerce integration. Are self-motivated with a desire to always achieve high standards. Have the ability to drive positive change across the business, improving processes. Have strong business partnering and a great ability to report to key business stakeholders. Have strong IT, numerical problem-solving skills and are highly proficient with Excel & Financial Modelling. Are an organised worker with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Have the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workloads. Have a keen desire to learn and master new skills.
