LOCATION: Primarily based at the office in Edinburgh, Scotland (EH17) with visits to other business locations and client sites across the region. Some travel will be required with lodging away from home

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Operations Manager in the scaffold / scaffolding industry, with excellent planning, communication and organisational skills and a high level of strategic perspective.
Working as the Operations Manager you will be responsible for Projects accountability for the overall performance of:
Site safety performance
Site profitability
Site compliance with company procedures
Service delivery on customer sites
Yard operations
As the Operations Manager you will provide effective leadership to your Supervisors and will be responsible for ensuring that suitable levels of operational, commercial and safety support are made available to those sites in need.
You will act as the main coordinator of commercial information for your supervisors, ensuring that the companys reporting requirements are met.
You will ensure that objectives and processes are developed and followed at all levels of your business to ensure the achievement of overall company objectives.
And as Operations Manager you will ensure that sufficient competent resources are employed to meet the business needs and that people develop individually and as a team to achieve their full potential.
DUTIES
Support the contracts supervisors within the region, providing operational, commercial, and pastoral support when required
Ensure effective implementation and communication of management systems and processes throughout the region, particularly in respect of Health & Safety, Quality, and Environment
Head weekly planning meeting and review all project programmes prior to submission to clients
Create weekly programme summary with cost and revenue figures for every project
Ensure review of all submitted weekly programmes is carried out and actual work done on site is recorded and submitted to client with relevant commentary
Carry out site safety and performance audits and maintain compliance with RAMS and ensure all structures are fully compliant with The Work at Height Regulations
Assist in the monthly production of the GM and cost revenue reports
Assist QS with monthly update of billings forecast
Develop operative training plans and arrange for training requirements
Assist in the organisation of effective stock control within the region
Support the management team in tender meetings when required, providing operational guidance and viability assessment
Ensure staffing levels are met, including future needs and contingency
Ensure that risks to the business are carefully reviewed and appropriately controlled
Understand and ensure compliance with the statutory requirements governing the companys activities
Assist the management team in achieving high quality standards across the region
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
CSRS Advanced Scaffolder Qualification
CSCS registered
Experience of excellent stakeholder management
Excellent communication skills
Proactive and able to work according to strategic direction
Must hold a current driving licence
Must be a team player
Willing to acquire new skills and learn from others
High level of strategic perspective
Delivering a high level of service and must be highly customer focussed
Excellent planning and organisation skills
Negotiating and influencing
Extensive understanding of the Access sector with previous experience in the North-East (desirable)
