Job Vacancy The Learning Disability Team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Social Worker to join the team. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with adults and/or young people with learning disabilities, have good assessment knowledge, skills and have a confident understanding of all relevant legislation. The successful jobholder with be based at Fairfield House, Dalkeith and must be able to plan and organise their work and be confident working with a variety of stakeholders (internal and external) to support the provision of Social Care services to adults with disabilities. The work of the team is varied and underpinned by a person-centred approach and, alongside good assessment skills, requires a working knowledge of theories for intervention. The work involves multi-agency liaison and the ability to establish effective working relationships across the Health and Social Care Partnerships, partner agencies and Third Sector interface. KNOWLEDGE A degree in Social Work and registration with the SSSC as a Social Worker is essential a Diploma in Social Work with SSSC registration as a social worker is an acceptable alternative together with a Mental Health Officer academic qualification.
