Team Leader Technician
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced technician to work at our premises in Ilkeston, full-time in a permanent position. We are looking for a motivated, professional and well-organised person to lead a small group of workshop employees. Your main focus will be on maximising the performance within your team to achieve the daily goals of the business.
Your primary responsibility will be to carry out the installation of our commercial cleaning systems into customer vehicles.
You will be involved in developing new policies and procedures to help organise and streamline the day-to-day operations of the business. You will work closely with our office manager to help coordinate the build of products, the installation of equipment (into vehicles), stocking of products, and dispatching orders to our worldwide customer base.
A small amount of remote work will be required to cover repairs, offer demonstrations, or carry out a small number of external cleaning jobs.
Role includes:
1. Installing commercial cleaning equipment into vehicles
2. Assembling/building machinery, repairing, and servicing
3. Small number of offsite equipment servicing/repairs (in company vehicle)
4. Providing technical support for our customers (over the phone or in person)
5. Liaising with the sales office and coordinating daily workshop operations
6. Leading and motivating a team of technicians/dispatch
7. Ensuring all work is completed to the correct standard with a high level of professionalism
8. Implementing and overseeing health and safety protocols
9. Helping monitor our product and parts stock levels alongside our purchasing team
10. Customer handover with confidence and clarity, ensuring the customer fully understands what has been undertaken along with training on how to use the equipment
You will need to be confident with reactive and planned maintenance on a variety of production machinery. You will work as part of a team of fitters/engineers working to ensure all production machinery is fully optimised and functional. On-the-job training and development will be provided.
Previous experience:
* In an engineering/warehouse/mechanics environment desired
* Using power hand tools i.e. grinders, hand drills, etc.
* Working with pressure washing/diesel heaters would be an advantage
* Working with 12v electrics or vehicle electrics
* Preferred experience of forklift driving
Additional Information:
Hours of work are Monday-Friday (32-35k depending on experience). A driving license is required as the right candidate will be required on occasion to work off-site.

Pay: £14.40-£16.40 per hour
