What is High Cost Area Allowance? The High-Cost Area (HCA) allowance, also referred to as London Weighting is a payment made to employees who work in London and the surrounding areas. As this post is based in Dartford, Gravesham or Swanley, the successful applicant will receive an additional payment each month. 5% of basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £1,192 per year and a maximum payment of £2,011 per year (the agreed annual amount will be divided into 12 equal amounts and paid monthly) Main duties of the job You will be responsible for providing OT assessments, treatment and advice and will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic and creative environment. You will work closely with the Clinical lead Occupational Therapist and Ward Manager to implement and provide a therapeutic programme that supports the use of activity to aid recovery and enables timely and sustained discharge. You will have responsibility for a small team of multi-professional staff, providing supervision, support and leadership on a regular basis. You will also support the ward activity and shift leadership, as well as undertake shared team tasks that support the overall needs of service users.
