Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager to cover the north of England, selling excavator attachments. This is a mobile role with 4 days on the road and 1 day working from home. The successful candidate will be responsible for a mix of new business development and account management, with a competitive package including a £45k basic salary and £60k OTE, a company vehicle, 25 days holiday, laptop, phone, and any necessary training.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve targets and expand customer base
Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining and nurturing existing accounts
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues
Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments
Experience and Skill set required
Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within the construction or heavy machinery industry
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively
Knowledge of excavator attachments or similar products is advantageous
Full UK driving license
Day-to-Day
Travel to client sites and conduct face-to-face meetings
Prepare and deliver sales proposals and quotations
Update CRM system with sales activities and customer information
Work from home to plan and strategize for upcoming sales activities
Attend regular sales meetings and training sessions
