We are looking for a talented Transport Supervisor to join us on a full-time, permanent basis on our Mid shift, 11am to 7pm in Coleshill. This role is responsible for managing the transport operation, ensuring customer requirements are met and company policies and procedures are followed.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
1. Responsible for the day to day management of the transport team
2. Supporting the Operations Manager in developing the contract
3. Ensuring company procedures are being followed and customer service levels remain high.
4. Support the Finance team in updating the Time and Attendance system and answer any queries.
5. Management for defects and deal with any queries.
6. Managing and supporting the drivers in their day to day roles.
7. Support the planning of the weekly workload and organising drivers and staff to ensure all runs are covered in a cost effective and efficient manner.
8. Liaising with VMU’s, production sites and the Planning Team in relation to any potential service issues or operational needs.
9. Producing daily reports on equipment failures, VOR’s, on-going issues and service levels.
10. Updating the day to day reports for all customers, ensuring any time deadlines for the reports are met at all times.
11. Any other duties deemed reasonable and appropriate.
What you need to succeed at XPO:

5. Essential: Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
6. Essential: Support and encourage a good team working spirit and ensure that all stakeholders work effectively and communicate frequently to achieve the business objectives.
7. Essential: Experience supervising or managing a team in a complex transport and manufacturing environment.
8. Essential: working knowledge of Transport Legislation / WTD / Drivers hours.
