Position Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Inverness
Duration: Full-time contract.

Our client are a new entity, born out of the vital need for port space to support large-scale deployment of offshore wind.
Job Description:
You will be responsible for commercial aspects of the project, providing support and advice to the team to aid decision making, maintaining commercial information, and ensuring compliance with the contractual requirements.
You'll be passionate about delivering projects on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You'll be able to display a high level of technical, financial and commercial acumen and enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Monitoring contract progress against the agreed programmes.
2. Controlling costs against agreed budgets/end cost forecasts with direction from the Cost and Project Manager.
3. Agreeing interim valuations and final accounts, prepare and agree any necessary claims for reimbursements and for loss & expense through constructive dialogue with all third parties on all commercial matters.
4. Evaluating potential implications for dispute resolution and to contribute and develop as appropriate quality, health & safety, welfare and risks in accordance with the companies' management systems.
5. Preparing, negotiating and analysing costs for budgets.
6. Ensuring sub-contractors are pre-qualified in accordance with management systems.
7. Procurement of subcontractors and preparation of subcontractor order documentation.
8. Assessing and certification of sub-contractor interim payments and ensuring required Payer /Payless notices as issued.
Essential Requirements:
1. Have a degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
3. Good knowledge of construction contracts particularly the NEC Forms of Contract.
4. Sound commercial awareness.
5. Experience with project management tools (Aconex, CEMAR, viewpoint, etc.)
