Marketplace Operations Manager
• Salary: £45,000 + discretionary annual bonus
• Location: Near Hemel Hempstead (Hybrid, 2 days in office - need to be able to drive to office)

Our client, a forward-thinking, innovative product led health and beauty business, is seeking a Marketplace Operations Manager to spearhead their growing marketplace operations. Marketplaces play a large part of their UK and European Expansion strategy and this role will be ensuring the business is in the best possible place to continue growing their current presence whilst opening up new platforms to trade on too! This role will be more focussed on the Back-End Amazon and Marketplace operations as opposed to typical front end acitivties, A+ Content, Listing optimisation etc.
The Role
The Marketplace Operations Manager will manage and optimise the technical operations connecting customer marketplaces to logistics solutions. This role involves onboarding new marketplaces, improving operational processes, and acting as a vital liaison among integrators, developers, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Open and support UK and EU marketplaces, ensuring seamless operations.
* Collaborate with integrators such as Shopify, Mirakl, and Tradebyte to manage back-end setups and integrations.
* Facilitate SKU setups, order mapping, and other marketplace configurations.
* Maintain and enhance automated reporting dashboards using tools like Google Sheets and Excel.
* Evaluate and consolidate middleware tools to optimise efficiency and scalability.
* Partner with 3PL warehousing providers and internal teams to ensure operational excellence.
Preferred Skills
* Prior experience in a similar role, ideally within marketplace operations.
* Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel with VBA/Google Apps Script/JavaScript skills.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and multitasking abilities.
* High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Familiarity with EDI providers, API integrations, and technical workflows.
* Passion for marketplaces, operations, and learning new processes.
* Attitude and Aptitude to learning and ownerships of processes will outweigh some technical skills.
