Facilities Commercial Boiler Engineer
Location: Chertsey, Surrey
Salary: £55,000 + Unlimited Overtime (Overtime after 40 hours is paid at time and a half)
Hours: Mon – Fri (8-4 or 9-5)
TXM Recruit is seeking a skilled Facilities Boiler / Gas Engineer, who will provide comprehensive maintenance across all areas of building services. Your expertise in various building disciplines, particularly in boiler and gas engineering, will be essential in ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Position Details:
· Location: Chertsey, Surrey
· Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8-4 or 9-5) with plenty of overtime available
· Weekend Work: Required on a shift rota (approximately 1 in 4 weekends)
· Busy Season: Flexibility needed from May to October
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide maintenance support, including installation, planned preventive maintenance, and reactive maintenance for site services and equipment.
· Install, maintain, and repair various types of boilers, heating, and hot water systems.
· Maintain both commercial and domestic boilers and associated equipment.
· Diagnose faults and troubleshoot problems effectively.
· Source and order necessary materials and parts.
· Complete and issue certification for systems as required.
· Participate in an on-call rota within the Maintenance Team.
· Work a seasonal shift pattern, including some weekends and evenings.
· Oversee contractors on-site, ensuring tasks are performed effectively and according to standards.
· Deliver specialized technical support for building plant and equipment.
· Maintain a professional approach, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality.
· Communicate regularly with colleagues, supervisors, and managers to ensure efficient service delivery to clients.
· Provide exceptional customer service to both the company and clients at all times.
· Cover for colleagues during their absences as needed.
· Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly regarding health and safety.
· Perform any other duties as required.

Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
· Engineering/Technical qualification (Apprenticeship or NVQ 3 in relevant discipline i.e. Gas
· Hold C&G or NVQ level 1, 2 or 3 in plumbing and heating.
· Knowledge or hold unvented systems ticket.
· Hold relevant commercial gas qualifications: COCN1, CODNCO1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CORT1 & CMDDA1.
· CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1 & HTR1.
· Knowledge of Natural gas, LPG & Oil(kerosene)
· Good knowledge and level of competency in other areas of building services (BMS, Mechanical)
· Gas Safe certified (CCCN1 Core Commercial Catering Gas Safety).
· Knowledge of Health & Safety & COSHH.
· Knowledge of building regulations.
· Full clean UK driver’s license.
· Significant proven experience.
