£12.75 per hour

Integra Community Living Options (part of National Care Group) supports individuals (18+) with complex and enduring mental health needs in South and West Wales. We have over 18 years of knowledge and expertise behind us and an excellent record of helping individuals move on to independent living.
Our Caewern Lodge Service is a 6 bed service supporting male individuals with a primary mental health diagnosis.
Senior Support Worker Role and Responsibilities:
1. Assist the senior management to assess the needs of the people we support, using a Person-Centred Framework and the Supporting People Initiative.
2. Facilitate and support the people we support to integrate within their local community.
3. Identify training needs of other staff and coordinate training initiatives in consultation with the Registered Manager.
4. Work with people we support to initiate and develop new ideas and methods regarding the quality of service delivery in conjunction with other colleagues.
5. Stay up-to-date with changes by participating in discussions, training sessions, and workshops when required.
6. Maintain a full understanding of Care Standards.
7. Maintain a high standard of professional conduct and morale by encouraging and motivating staff through personal example and appearance.
8. Assist management with the coordination, supervision, and monitoring of staff work and practices.
9. Coordinate the arrangements of resident appointments.
10. Assist management in organizing regular (monthly) House meetings.
11. Administer medications when required, in line with prescription guidelines.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
1. Minimum Level 3 in Health and Social Care QCF/NVQ.
2. Experience supporting adults with mental health conditions and/or learning disabilities.
3. Experience mentoring others in a team.
