Tail Lift Engineer
An excellent opportunity has become available for a Tail Lift Engineer working remotely covering South West/ Swindon area.
Reporting into the Regional Business Manager, you will work as part of a team of Tail Lift Engineers covering an area across Swindon. The focus will be the Maintenance and Repair of Tail Lift equipment used on large distribution vehicles.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Installation, servicing and repair of tail lift, double deck, VBG, Shutter door equipment, limiting costs of stock used on contract accounts and maximising revenue generation in all areas.
2. To liaise with central control and/or the service centre with regard to job start and completion times, downtime and overtime authorisation; cost updates and customer purchase orders.
3. Undertake company training (at our dedicated training centre in Aldridge, Birmingham) and self-development through attendance on manufacturers' courses, company on-line courses( E Learning ) certification processes.
Experience:
4. Experience as a Tail lift/ Commercial Engineer.
5. Commercial experience on electro-mechanical systems including engines, compressors and hydraulics.
6. Understanding /experience in repairing /diagnosing of hydraulics.
7. Welding certification.
8. NVQ Level hydraulics/electrics ( desirable) or equivalent experience of working to manufacturers' standards.
Additional information
UK driving licence. Travel required, van & major tools supplied along with Company Fuel Card, additional payment for overnight stays (for training). You will also be paid door to door i.e. from leaving your home to arriving back home.
Needs to be physically fit to perform required tasks. Participation in additional on call roster, including overtime & premium times paid, working nights and weekends, when required.

On target earning between £40k and £50k
