Package: £28,420 - £33,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

AWE is currently recruiting for a NTR Associate Operations Specialist as part of the Communications Team that sits within the wider NTR Operational Support Team.
This team maintains and provides the various assets used by the offsite response and involves operational readiness, assurance, and modernisation activities.
The offsite response will deploy to live incidents and work with partner agencies to resolve emergency situations or support investigations. Our prompt and effective contribution is critical to public safety, protection of property, and national security.
Who are we looking for?
This role is ideally suited to someone who has managed and maintained communications and IT equipment, has awareness of the associated security and compliance requirements, and is able to adapt to short notice changes.
We do need you to have the following:
* Experience of managing and maintaining communications and IT systems
* Proven organisational skills to actively manage schedules to meet demand
* An ability to adapt to short notice changes
Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we'd like you to have experience of:
* Procurement, configuration, and through-life management of operational equipment.
* An ability to adapt to short notice changes that real incidents can create
* Evidence of
o Supporting continuous improvement activities
o Delivery to time, cost, and quality
o Influencing or achieving modernisation
o Ability to work with minimal supervision
o Ability to communicate well - both written and verbal
You'll need to have the ability to:
* Be a part of the Operational Support Team completing work allocated by the Task Manager, which could include
o Operational Readiness
o Management of assets
o Assurance activities
* Demonstrate and promote high standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality
* Engage and build internal and external relationships related to the task that the team undertakes
* Adhere to the standards around expected company behaviours
* Support delivery to meet customer requirements
* Identify and report to the local accountability board (Visual Management Boards)
* Work alone or as part of a team, and be a great team player
* Act as a Work Supervisor for compliance with company work control arrangements
This role will require travel around the UK and occasionally abroad.
A full clean car driving licence is required.
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.

Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home in this role. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working on site at AWE Aldermaston.
