We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to work with Key Stage 2 students in a supportive and inclusive school in Salford. Job Description : We are looking for an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Salford. The role will focus on providing tailored support for students in Key Stage 2 with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including learning difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health challenges. You will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to create an individualized learning experience that promotes academic and personal growth. Key Responsibilities : Plan, deliver, and assess lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN in Key Stage 2. Provide 1:1 and small group support, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students. Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive and supportive learning environment. Monitor and track student progress, setting achievable goals and ensuring that students make measurable improvements. Collaborate with the school's SENCO, teaching assistants, and other staff to provide a holistic approach to student support. Work with parents and carers to provide regular updates on student progress and offer advice on how to support learning at home. Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and regularly review and update them in line with student progress. Encourage and support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills to prepare them for transition beyond Key Stage 2. Maintain high standards of teaching, ensuring that all students feel valued, included, and supported. Key Requirements : Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching or working with SEN students, particularly in Key Stage 2. Strong knowledge of SEN, including strategies to support students with learning disabilities, social, emotional, and mental health needs. Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and other educational professionals. A passion for working with children with additional needs and a commitment to ensuring all students achieve their full potential. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
