This role supports individual students who may require additional academic or behavioural assistance. You will help implement tailored education plans and ensure a positive learning experience. About The Role As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential part in creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment tailored to the unique needs of the pupil, helping them engage with the curriculum and develop their social and emotional skills. Responsibilities of a 1:1 Teaching Assistant: Deliver targeted support to an assigned student, aiding learning and behaviour management. Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and implement individualised educational strategies. Adapt and modify resources to suit the pupil’s unique learning needs. Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate updates to relevant staff and parents. Ensure a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment in line with the school’s values and standards. Required Qualifications for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant: Previous experience working with children in a 1:1 setting, preferably in a classroom setting. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff. Patience, empathy and a positive attitude towards supporting individual learning. Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
