Area Sales Consultant
The Role: Covering the area of Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, and Somerset, the Area Sales Consultant will be selling a vast range of products which form solutions to problems encountered by installers & contractors who work on commercial & residential tiling work. The product range includes (but is not limited to): waterproofing membranes, underfloor heating systems, trims & finishes, and tile back boards - basically anything that is required behind a tile or stone wall & floor.
The Area Sales Consultant will be focusing their efforts on a target market of tilers & contractors who use their solutions across the South West. The Area Sales Consultant will then back-sell the product through national & independent merchants and retailers across the area. The Area Sales Consultant will inherit a base set of accounts which need nurturing and bringing up to a strong level in order to set off the momentum of taking market share and bringing on board new merchants & retailers. The Area Sales Consultant will be supported by an existing Specification Sales Team in the region who are generating demand for these solutions via Architects & Contractors for commercial & residential projects - therefore meaning the need for more retailers & distribution partners is there for these prestigious projects.
The Area Sales Consultant will target buyers & procurement professionals within Merchant networks as well as retail store owners, showroom managers, and the sales people in those retailers also in order to push your products & solutions into their mind so they too promote them over your competitor products. The key target of this role is to develop the end user market (70%) and get them into the Merchant network. You will be activity driven and conducting multiple meetings per week with both fixers and distributors.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
* Have a background in selling to tiling contractors and 'back-selling' through merchants or bathroom retailers
* A hunger, desire, and passion to drive new relationships with end users & retailers alike
* Ideally come from a hands-on tiling installation background who wants a sales career
* Clear communicator both written and verbal
* Team player, organised, and have strong sales potential
* Full & Clean Driving license
Salary: Up to £50,000 basic salary DOE + 20% Quarterly Bonus + Electric/Hybrid Car + Pension (6% contribution) + healthcare cash plan + 25 days holiday + employee assistance programme and access to virtual GP's
