Dayshift £18.89/£21.25 based on 38 hour week equates to an annual salary £37,327 - £41,990
38 hours basic per week; Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4pm with 30-minute lunch break, Fridays 7.30am to 1.30pm
In periods of peak production the organisation also offers a 25% shift allowance for night shift (Monday - Thursday 6pm-3:30am)

THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group are seeking an NDT Technician to join our client based in Teesside.
The company in question are an Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer with over 40 years of experience in manufacturing critical subsea components. This is a fantastic time to join our client as they have just received considerable investment and are looking to strengthen their place in the market.

THE ROLE
Have a strong NDT background with a minimum of PCN level 2 qualifications in DPI, MPI and UT (3.1 / 3.2)
Assisting in various other QC activities such as Pressure Testing, Hardness Testing and Heat Treatment, PMI, Thickness Checks
Knowledge of welding processes (e.g., clad overlay) and an understanding of Engineering Standards such as ASME / API would be an advantage but not essential
Be competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages include excel and word
Have a can-do attitude and work well with others in a team environment
Be flexible in your approach - willing to work overtime when required to suit customer requirements
Be willing to increase your knowledge and undertake personal development
Be willing to pass on your knowledge and train others
THE PERSON
PCN level 2 qualifications in DPI, MPI, and UT (3.1 / 3.2)
Have experience of NDT of in-process and finished machined components and high integrity fabrication welds, ensuring they comply with customer specifications
Understanding the differences between ferromagnetic & non-ferromagnetic alloy materials
Have experience of working within an Engineering production environment
Have strong mathematical skills and the ability to understand engineering drawings
Be experienced in producing technical NDT reports
