You will be responsible to the GP Partner and Business Manager. As well as meeting the Practice contractual obligations with NHS England & (NHSE), you will maintain compliance with all aspects of Health and Safety, Information Governance, employment legislation and Care Quality Commission (CQC) Regulations.
Main duties of the job
Supporting the Business Manager and GP Partner to run the Practice, you will be responsible for HR oversight, training and management; ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Information Governance, CQC and other mandatory regulations; communications and liaison with patients and PPG; responding to complaints; rota management; supporting staff with IT changes and issues.

Abbeyview Surgery is a semi-rural, part dispensing Practice serving circa 9000 patients in Crowland, Lincolnshire. We are CQC Outstanding and our team have won several awards for patient care locally and nationally.
To complement our team of Doctors, ACPs and Nurses and HCAs, our rapidly expanding team includes Diabetes Specialist Nurse, Physio, MSK, Clinical Pharmacists, Care Co-ordinator and Social Prescriber.

Job responsibilities
1. Responsible to the GP Partner and Business Manager.
2. Maintain compliance with all aspects of Health and Safety, Information Governance, employment legislation and Care Quality Commission (CQC) Regulations.
3. Oversee the day to day running of the organisation, providing positive leadership and role modelling through understanding of Human Resources, strategic planning, and finance.
4. Interact with all members of staff both clinical and non-clinical, being approachable and able to deal with a diverse team.
5. Oversee all aspects of personnel management.
6. Ensure clinics are staffed and organise cover where needed.
7. Ensure the Practice's compliance with GDPR and FOI along with other relevant legislation and professional information standards.
8. Oversee implementation of new IT systems and procedures.
9. Ensure all job holders across the Practice adhere to their individual responsibilities for infection control and health and safety, using a system of reporting and risk management (including audits).
10. Engage with and work with our PPG to improve services of the Practice.
11. Maintain the Practice Website and keep updated with any changes.
12. Provide regular newsletters and Facebook posts to keep patients informed on changes at the practice.
13. This job description does not include all aspects of the post and as such the Practice Manager will be required to carry out any duties that may be reasonably requested by the GP Partner or Business Manager.
