The Role:
Sir Harold Hillier Gardens (SHHG) is an esteemed arboretum sprawled across 180 acres, boasting a diverse collection of over 42,000 trees and shrubs. We are currently seeking a Facilities Assistant to support the Facilities Manager in all areas of general maintenance and upkeep of the facilities, maintaining site security, and ensuring day-to-day compliance with health and safety to provide a safe, clean and secure environment for staff and visitors.
This is a vital position requiring the Facilities Assistant to possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, being flexible in your approach and willing to adapt to meet the changing needs of the organisation. You will work alongside colleagues as part of the Facilities Team across seven days, ensuring facilities are present onsite throughout the week. Additional hours may be required to cover holiday, sickness within the team, or to cover special events.
