Vermelo RPO is seeking a skilled Data Governance Expert to ensure the accuracy, security, and compliance of data across our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits, monitoring data processes, and supporting regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include:
* Data Quality Management: Developing processes to monitor and improve data quality, identifying and resolving data quality issues.
* Compliance, Regulatory and Partner Alignment: Ensuring data management practices align with external partners and comply with regulatory requirements, including GDPR and SOX.
* Data Risk Management: Identifying and assessing data-related risks, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and developing data footprint maps.
* Data Governance: Supporting the implementation and improvement of the data governance framework.
* Audit and Reporting: Conducting internal data audits, preparing reports on data quality and compliance status.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Working with technology, legal, data, compliance, and business teams to ensure data-related processes align.
* Data Security and Privacy: Implementing data privacy best practices and securing sensitive data in line with legal and regulatory standards.
* Continuous Improvement: Regularly reviewing and optimising data management processes, tools, and controls.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Data Management or a related field, experience in data quality assurance and governance, and knowledge of regulatory frameworks. They will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
