Job summary
Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) would like to offer a unique opportunity for a Psychologist with an interest in maternity care, to apply for this role working with families who were previously part of the Ockenden Review into maternity provision at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust (SaTH). The post will be hosted and managed within MPFT's Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Care Group, with close links with our Maternal Mental Health Service. The post is part time, working 15 hours per week.
The post-holder will work with families who were part of the Ockenden Review, who have come forward to request support in relation to the current impact of the maternity experiences which led to their inclusion in the Review.
The Maternity Review Psychology Service (MRPS) was previously available to all families who were part of the Ockenden Review, and had a similar timeframe to the Review process, so that families could access support when they needed it, for example around the time of the Review being published in March 2022. This original MRPS provision reached a planned ending in 2023, and has recently been recommissioned for families who may wish to build on work previously completed with MRPS, or who may value the opportunity to access this support for the first time.
Clinical supervision will be provided by an experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist, formerly the Clinical Lead for the original MRPS provision.
