The Role:
It is the responsibility of the Shift Manager to contribute to the development, leadership and delivery of the Fellside Operations philosophy including the operational strategy and overall performance measures.
Responsibilities:
To contribute to the development, leadership & delivery of the FCHP Operational strategy, KPI's and TPI's ensuring these meet environmental, commercial, technical and statutory procedures and legislation
To take overall responsibility for the supervision, development, welfare and overall effectiveness of all assigned personnel
Effectively lead, support & contribute to the planning & management of day-to-day & longer-term Operations strategies, policies and procedures, balancing commercial and safety considerations. To include their effective communication and understanding by all relevant employees; the monitoring and evaluation of their effectiveness and as required any change or improvement management
To be recognised as a focal point in providing professional Operations knowledge and advice. To include legislative standards and requirements, site security, crisis management, fire safety, noise and other areas of business significance
To work with the external parties, to ensure that in conjunction with other agreed operational factors, (i.e. safety, environmental and technical,) that our contractual and commercial obligations are met
Qualifications:
* ONC/NVQ level 3 / PPO 1,2 & 3 or equivalent in engineering, maintenance or process disciplines or working towards a relevant qualification.
* Relevant experience of working in and contributing to a continuous process / production environment.
* Boiler, DCS or similar knowledge & experience.
* Power generation operational knowledge & work experience.
* Experience of working on and contributing to a COMAH regulated site.
* Safe System of Work processes and procedures: Permit to work & Risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
* Knowledge and experience of Plant SHE systems & procedures.
