As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a Planning Manager t o create and implement planning process and strategy while managing the Planning team to support Programme, Manufacturing Engineering, Production teams and Supply chain to ensure that we achieve our schedule in the most efficient way. Key responsibilities will include: Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Master Production Schedules (MPS) while measuring KPI (OTD, MPS adherence) to support program schedule and customer delivery Responsible for item master data in SAP B1/BEAS system, MRP forecast and MRP settings to ensure providing the accurate demand signal to Supply Chain and other internal stakeholders Developing, mentoring and coaching all members of the planning team. Ensuring customer orders and demand forecasts are up to date and assessing the impact on production/customer delivery schedule by demand change Working with the Manufacturing Engineering and Config team to create and maintain the process for new part number creation and BOM setup and maintenance/improvements Collaborating with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure work packages, such as drawings, BOMs, routings, work instructions, etc., are released in a timely manner to enable production to start at the right time. Driving a regular delivery meeting with logistics and commercial teams to ensure all preparation for dispatch is complete prior to shipping Managing and maintaining open works orders and inventory to meet budgeted targets while keeping appropriate safety stock. Skills and experience required: Proven management experience in a developmental manufacturing environment Understanding of the aerospace industry and quality requirements Proficient in MS Office Suite and strong MRP systems and software skills Excellent leadership, people skills and ability to communicate effectively on all levels and influence stakeholders High level of accuracy and attention to detail Instinctive problem-solving skills coupled with a sound analytical approach Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while deadlines are met A flexible approach to work Self-motivated with a can-do attitude Desirable: Experience working within a Tier 1 environment UK driving license and ability to travel.
