Prison Custody Manager within the HMP Millsike, you will develop PE Pathways including supporting offender behaviour programmes through PE, Education, Violence Reduction, Drug and Alcohol Misuse, Reducing Reoffending and Family Ties, you will be responsible for Devising, Delivering and Reviewing Millsike's PE programme
PE Department Direct line management for all Gym PCOs, Support, supervise, motivate and monitor staff to ensure an effective service is delivered across the Prison.
You will be responsible for all Health and Safety matters relating to the Gym function.
Effective line management of all the Gym staff, including staff performance, training and development, and staff 1-1s and appraisals.
Enabling the Gym staff to manage and mentor the Gym Peer Advocates ensuring they fully comply with the rules and behaviours expected of them. Support where necessary
Supporting and encouraging regime delivery at Millsike.
Support recruitment ensuring a full staffing compliment of PEI's encouraging a diverse team through fair application and pre-selection.

Essential
-Excellent Communicator, both written and oral
-Attain Enhanced Level 2 Ministry of Justice Vetting Clearance and Enhanced DBS
-Possess a thorough knowledge of PE Policy and standards
-Hold an IQA Qualification or Equivalent to oversee the delivery of all PE educational qualifications or be prepared to work towards this
-Managerial experience of leading a team of at least 5-15 staff
-Basic-Intermediate IT Skills: g. Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook + some experience of updating central data systems
Desirable
-Experience within the custodial setting would be an advantage.
-Qualifications or relevant experience equivalent to Level 3 or above: e.g. A level, Advanced Apprenticeship, AS Levels, International Baccalaureate diploma, Level 3 Awards, Certificates and Diplomas. Level 3 NVQ accreditations.
-Has Duke of Edinburgh accreditation
