Senior Planning Administration Officer

Pay: Scale 4 (scp 10-13) £26,835 to £28,163 per annum
Hours: 37 Hours
We are looking for a Senior Planning Administration Officer to provide efficient technical and administrative support to the development management team. You will support the processing of planning applications and respond to queries and enquiries on planning matters.
Additionally, you will:
- Line manage the Planning Administration Team
- Be the Systems Administrator for the planning software system
- Prepare statistical information on service performance
- Prepare agendas and/or reports and take minutes at various meetings
- Calculate fees payable under the new Building Safety Levy
To join us as a Senior Planning Administration Officer, you will have:
- Working knowledge of development management procedures
- Experience of using document management systems in a planning or similar environment
- Experience of being a systems administrator or similar support role
- High standard of computer literacy and IT, maths and numeracy skills including Maths and English GCSE at Grade C (new Grade 4) or above
- Ability to lead a team and work as part of a team
- Experience of dealing with customers
- Accuracy and attention to detail
Proven experience of working within a Local Authority planning department would also be beneficial to your application.
