I'm working with a leading multi-disciplinary main contractor that delivers high-profile construction projects across the UK. They’re looking to add a talented Preconstruction Manager to their successful team, specifically within their Industrial division.
This is a pivotal role in the business, focused on managing all aspects of the preconstruction phase – from the moment tender documents land, through to submission and contract exchange. You’ll lead a collaborative, high-performing team to produce compelling, technically strong and commercially sound tender proposals, while ensuring a smooth handover to the delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate preconstruction tender activity in a collaborative team environment
* Define and implement tender strategy
* Identify risks and opportunities, creating plans to manage or maximise them
* Liaise with client teams and internal stakeholders
* Review tender documents and align supply chain returns
* Manage the submission of tender offers
* Prepare and deliver presentations for tender interviews and internal reviews
Experience Required
* HNC/Degree qualified (or equivalent experience), ideally in a construction-related discipline
* Experience in preconstruction/tendering within a main contracting environment
* Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, programming, and commercial documentation (BoQs, quotations etc.)
* Confident working across multiple tenders simultaneously
* Excellent communication, organisation, and technical writing skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
