As a Relief Support Practitioner, you can share your availability and preferences in advance with our managers, who will factor this into their planning and match your strengths, skills, or interests to appropriate roles. At our Glenfinnan Housing Support Service, each day brings new and rewarding experiences as you work closely with individuals have complex support needs. Every person s journey is unique, and our commitment to value-based communication ensures that their needs are fully understood and met, even if they don t communicate verbally. We are a close-knit, dedicated team delivering exceptional, person-centred care. Guided by compassion, creativity, and collaboration, we help the people we support live fulfilling lives, tailored to their individual goals and needs. As a Support Practitioner, you ll work one-to-one with each individual, assisting them with day-to-day living and encouraging them to live happy, meaningful lives. You ll play an active role in helping them achieve their personal goals and ambitions, both at home and in the wider community. What your role involves: Providing personal care, meal preparation, administering medication, housework, finances, and companionship. Collaborating with families and professionals to ensure high-quality care. Promoting independence and individuality, based on personalised Support Plans. Keeping accurate records of daily tasks and progress. Working as part of a supportive team, communicating effectively with colleagues, families, and those you support. Shift Patterns Our Fort William Housing Support service operates 24/7, 365 days a year, using a rota-based system. Shifts are 24 hours long, running from 8:00am to 8:00am the following day. Each shift includes 15 hours of active support and a 9-hour sleepover period.
