Job summary An exciting development opportunity has arisen for experienced Band 3 Healthcare Assistant on ward 8 Stroke Transitional Unit at the Broadgreen site The post holder is expected to assist the Ward/Department team in providing the highest possible standard of care for patients and their families/carers. You must be able to demonstrate experience in a hospital setting working at NVQ L2, must be signed off on the Care Certificate and be willing to undertake NVQ L3. Successful applicants will be given further training and support to facilitate professional growth and career progression. This includes being enlisted in the Band 3 Upskilling programme. Main duties of the job The role will involve participating in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. Participating in all aspects of patient care, you will give particular attention to pressure ulcer care, personal hygiene, toileting and feeding reporting progress and will raise any concerns to the Registered Nurse (RN). You will work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families. You will undertake a range of skilled tasks and duties with support from the Registered Nurse. You will proactively lead in delivering all aspects of basic patient care, from admission to discharge and will take a leading role in supporting and developing more junior staff and the development of the ward.
