We are looking for a highly organized and finance-savvy Investor Relations & Executive Operations Lead to support fundraising efforts, investor engagement, and executive-level operations.
Role Overview
The Investor Relations & Executive Operations Lead will work closely with the CEO, managing investor relations, fundraising processes, and operational tasks critical to scaling Soundly AI. This role requires experience in startup finance, investment banking, or venture capital, with strong communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, is proactive, and understands the startup fundraising process.
Key Responsibilities1. Investor Relations & Fundraising Support
* Assist in managing investor pipelines (tracking outreach, follow-ups, and meeting notes).
* Maintain investor CRM (HubSpot/Pipedrive) to ensure a structured, strategic outreach process.
* Prepare and refine pitch decks, investment memos, and financial summaries for investor meetings.
* Support due diligence processes, ensuring accurate financial modeling and investor documentation.
* Manage data rooms (DocSend) and investor onboarding processes (KYC, agreements, compliance).
2. Financial & Strategic Support
* Assist in preparing financial forecasts, growth projections, and investor reports.
* Track key fundraising metrics such as burn rate, valuation discussions, and capital deployment.
* Conduct market research on investment trends, competitors, and funding opportunities.
* Liaise with external advisors or consultants for financial, tax, and compliance matters.
3. Executive Support & Business Operations
* Manage high-priority scheduling (CEO’s investor meetings, strategic planning sessions).
* Handle confidential communications and liaise between investors and leadership.
* Assist with board meeting preparation, including reports and strategic documentation.
* Organize CEO travel, events, and investor-facing engagements.
* Streamline internal processes and ensure smooth business operations.
What We’re Looking ForMust-Have:
* 3+ years experience in startup fundraising, VC, investment banking, or investor relations.
* Strong finance and analytical skills, including financial modeling and due diligence experience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to prepare investor materials concisely and persuasively.
* Proficiency in CRM tools (HubSpot, Pipedrive), DocSend, and financial reporting.
* Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to juggle multiple priorities.
Nice-to-Have:
* Knowledge of SEIS/EIS, UK tax incentives, and investor compliance.
* Familiarity with AI, SaaS, or podcasting industries.
* Experience supporting Series A/B fundraising or investor relations at a startup.
