Description
As an Electrician at Breedon, you’ll work alongside our maintenance and operations teams. You’ll enjoy problem solving and will be working to identify the root cause for electrical defects and breakdowns, offering solutions to problematic equipment, aiming to resolve problems in a time efficient and safe manner.
You’ll support the wider Maintenance team to identify and support preventative maintenance activities at our Leaton Quarry, based in Telford, Shropshire.

Key Responsibilities
* You will be responsible for developing a preventative maintenance. system and carrying out planned maintenance activities to ensure that our quarry and asphalt plant operates safely and reliably.
* Play a key 'hands on' role in the planning and implementation of plant improvements.
* Have the ability to quickly fault find, respond to any unplanned plant shutdowns and work closely with other team members and contractors as required.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Essential:
o A qualification or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering
o Knowledge and experience of a heavy industrial environment
o Good working knowledge of electrical LV isolation
o 18th Edition Wiring regulation BS7671 Certification
o Good understanding of electrical maintenance methods & techniques
o Knowledge & experience of medium/high voltage networks including switching methods
o A sound working knowledge of Health, Safety & Environment regulations
o Computer literate
o A full UK driving licence due to site location
* Desirable; training can be provided:
o A working knowledge of BS7671 inspection & testing
o PLC and VSD Experience
