Job Purpose
* Provide financial leadership to the Procurement Directs and Sites LT and Corporate Categories LT teams to ensure delivery of Procurement strategic objectives to support the business ambition in a financially sustainable way. Support the broader Procurement Finance team in driving their financial leadership for their respective LTs e.g. COE, Commercial, R&D.
* Responsible for driving and championing a commercial mindset to ensure robust and aligned savings methodology that underpins the Procurement savings ambition (£1.1bn total savings of which £500m is P&L impacting). Actively participate in key forums to help shape and drive Procurement Strategy.
* Partner in a complex matrix environment across multiple geographies and procurement categories to deliver company value, with the ability to form strong relationships with Procurement, Finance, business stakeholders, the external supply base, and influence decisions to ensure the best outcomes for GSK.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive key business decisions including change proposals, investment evaluations, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiations to optimize financial outcomes.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
* Provide financial leadership and counsel to major savings projects from ideation through execution and financial approval, ensuring impactful cost-saving initiatives are implemented to drive value.
* Develop strong, proactive relationships with Procurement teams, GSK business partners and their finance counterparts to drive alignment on savings targets and innovative solutions.
* Provide expert insight to procurement business leaders on performance through financial acumen and knowledge of the business & the environment.
* Provide financial leadership and participate actively in key customer forums and leadership teams to shape and drive Procurement strategy.
* Act as the CFO to procurement, participating in any finance-to-finance negotiations with the suppliers to ensure optimal financial outcomes.
* Using both internal and external knowledge sources to improve business performance and share best practice across Finance & Procurement more particularly on savings and cash opportunities.
* Partnering on sustainability initiatives with both procurement & business teams to drive GSK's sustainability goals.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
* Demonstrated experience in Finance partnering including influencing senior business leaders in a matrix organisation.
* Previous experience in finance partnering within supply chain or manufacturing desirable.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, demonstrated by building a network of key partners within finance and the business, and bridging the communication gap between finance and non-finance.
* Demonstrated experience in financial modelling and analysis, data analytics, budget and forecasting, project evaluation and planning, decision making & scenario generation / recommendation.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, presenting information clearly, concisely, and effectively to stakeholders at all levels. Bridges communication gaps between finance and non-finance individuals.
* Track record of driving sound business decision making in relation to complicated problems based on robust, impartial financial analysis.
* Experience of leading and developing a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
* Master’s degree in finance, economics or equivalent degree.
