TechnicalProject Manager
Main purpose of job:
To work in close partnership with colleagues across theorganisation to manage technical project delivery The project manager isrequired to deliver a variety of IT projects making improvements across thetechnical estate The project manager needs to be able to manage multipleproject deliverables and communicate the status of IT projects in a clear andtimely way.
Responsible to: Project Delivery Manager
Budgetary responsibilities:
No direct department budget responsibilities. The projectmanager will be responsible for the management and control of the projectbudget on behalf of the project sponsor.

This role has nodirect reports or line management responsibilities. The project manager willhave responsibility for managing the day-to-day activities of resources acrossIT and 3rd parties for project delivery

The project manager is required to deliver project that aresigned off at the business case review board.
The Project Manager is responsible for:
Project Delivery
•Producing a Project Initiation/Feasibility Document to confirmproject scope
•Producing and maintaining a project plan and requireddocumentation throughout the lifecycle stages
•Facilitating risk workshops and managing risk through theproject lifecycle
•Managing project financial tracking and purchasing
•Managing changes in project scope, producing documented changecontrol impact assessments
•Reporting project status to the steering group
•Arranging and facilitating steering group meetings, chaired bythe project sponsor
•Planning, organising and managing technical changeimplementations
•Producing transition documentation to hand over projects to theIT service team (BAU)
•Requesting and organising project resources and team members todeliver project tasks and activities
Support to Technical Team
•Coaching team members in project practices and processes toensure full and consistent understanding and appreciation.
•Facilitating conflict resolution and decision making.
•Coach the Team in self-organization and cross-functionalityencouraging them to operate on a selfmanaged basis.
•Facilitating resolution of the general conflict of goals betweendevelopment team (high technical quality) and product owner / project manage(more scope)
•Reminding the team of their commitment to the project goal
•Helping the team to identify and resolve impediments.
•Provide feedback to the team, helping them to continuallyimprove. •Resolve blockers that stop the teamprogressing
