🚀 Databricks Platform Architect
Location: London - 3 Days a Week

We’re looking for a forward-thinking, client-obsessed Platform Architect with serious Databricks credentials and the ability to lead from the front. If you thrive in fast-paced, consultancy-led environments, and love turning complex client challenges into scalable, cloud-native data platforms — this one's for you.
🧠What you'll be doing:
* Architecting production-grade, cloud-hosted data platforms with streaming ingest, processing, and visualisation capabilities
* Leading the design and deployment of Databricks platforms (on at least one CSP) using IaC
* Taking full ownership of resilience, disaster recovery, and security considerations
* Working across multiple projects and leading teams of engineers, while engaging with clients at the pre-sales and delivery phases
* Supporting digital transformation and IT consolidation programmes with technical strategy and architectural insight
* Estimating and shaping delivery plans for complex, multi-million-pound projects
đź’Ľ What we're looking for:
* 2+ years hands-on Databricks experience (certified to Professional level or above)
* 10+ years in software/systems engineering, with a deep track record in cloud-native data platforms
* Strong consultancy background or significant pre-sales exposure
* Expertise in hybrid architectures and IaC (Terraform preferred)
* Leadership experience on large-scale, high-impact data programmes
* Familiarity with cloud-native services (e.g. GCP Dataflow, BigQuery, AWS Glue, Azure Synapse, etc.)
🛠️ Tools & Tech:
* Databricks (certified to Professional or ideally Architect level)
* Terraform, GitHub / GitLab / Azure DevOps
* Jira / Confluence for agile project delivery
* Comfortable with CSP-native tools and services (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
🎓 Certifications:
* Degree or Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
* Databricks Certified Data Engineer or ML Engineer (Professional level+)
* Architecture certification from one of the big three CSPs (Azure, AWS, GCP)
