The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama is looking for an enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to join the Academic Services Department in the role of Administrative Assistant (Drama) - maternity cover.
The successful applicant will possess evidence of a good education, ideally with a background or interest in drama, be computer literate and have excellent communication skills. A commitment to a high level of customer care is essential, along with a sound knowledge of general office procedures including the use of e-mail and the Microsoft Office package. The post holder will be responsible for the administrative tasks in a range of student and drama related areas, including student records, scheduling, assessment and performance. An efficient, courteous and pleasant manner is essential, along with the ability to prioritise your workload and adhere to set deadlines.
The Administrative Assistant (Drama) role forms a vital interface and point of liaison within the Drama Department, between its students and a wide range of full-time and part-time staff as well as members of the public. Although the main duties of the post are detailed below, the Drama Administrative Staff operate as a team and part of the Academic Services Department, and it is expected that all members of the team will work flexibly and support each other at all times.
If you are a successful candidate and this position will be your first professional services role at the College you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and College.
