As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimising bioenergy systems that contribute to a sustainable future. Job Description In this role, you will be responsible for organising, planning, and performing preventative maintenance on bioenergy systems to ensure their optimal performance. You will supervise contractors during the construction phase of plants and participate in a 24/7 site and emergency support team. Additionally, you will work on adjusting, optimising, and maintaining systems while providing fault-finding services. Your responsibilities will include organising, planning, and carrying out the commissioning and testing of bioenergy systems, covering both mechanical and electrical components. You will conduct Factory Acceptance Tests, including I/O checks, mechanical testing, and performance evaluations, as well as lead and document Site Acceptance Tests and performance or availability tests. Diagnosing and resolving faults in systems, including inspecting both hardware and software aspects of control systems, will also be part of your role. Skills and Expertise – What You Bring Have a background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering. Be familiar with Anaerobic Digestion/Biogas Plants or similar process/plant environments. Demonstrate a flexible approach to work, including availability for overtime, UK travel, and overnight stays. Possess strong organisational skills and a can-do attitude to tackle challenges effectively. Maintain a high level of professionalism in all tasks and interactions. Hold a Category B, clean driving licence.
