Main duties of the job
As an EPR Data Analyst, you will be instrumental in capturing and recording clinical and operational data accurately within data capture workbooks. Your work will directly contribute to the success of our upcoming EPR programme, ensuring the integrity and quality of our data.

Job responsibilities
1. To methodically and systematically capture information in datasets as deemed necessary for the EPR programme and to update and retrieve information as and when required.
2. To help review, collate, upload, process and manipulate related data sets across all clinical and administrative systems, including locally adapted databases, as well as submit data in formats specified by the EPR programme.
3. Engage with key stakeholders across both Trusts to support the activity as required.
4. Provide and support the management and clinical teams by extracting and analysing data from a number of data collection systems.
5. Use a variety of tools including SQL, Excel, SPSS and Trust Patient Management Systems (PAS) to produce clear data presented in appropriate formats.
6. To have an active role in information collation and review requirement.
7. Using experience, knowledge, skills and judgement to identify opportunities in line with EPR programme data requirements and definitions.
8. Work to strict deadlines to ensure the required data and information is accurately maintained and reports produced.
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience in balancing competing priorities, to achieve EPR targets within a fluctuating and demanding workload.
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience, preferably in an information-related subject.
What we are looking for in our people
* Extensive use of databases and other PC tools to manipulate, analyse and present information.
* Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables and VBA.
* Understanding of NHS Information Systems and NHS data models, and clinical coding and case mix coding.
* NHS Information requirements and definitions.
* Current NHS standards including performance indicators.
* Knowledge of working practices within an acute Trust and implications on recording of data on systems.
* Have a logical and systematic approach to work, and ability to work accurately to strict deadlines.
* Have a means to accurately record complex data.
* Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication and follow-up skills.
* Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders through a variety of communication methods.
