Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Guidance: Mentor and support a team of residential childcare workers, instilling best practices and a therapeutic approach to daily interactions.
2. Therapeutic Care: Implement strategies that promote emotional and psychological well-being, tailoring care to the unique needs of each child.
3. Community Building: Help create a safe, inviting home atmosphere where every child can thrive.
4. Collaboration: Work alongside other professionals to ensure comprehensive, holistic care that supports all aspects of a child's development.
Who We're Looking For:
We are looking for someone with a solid background in residential childcare, with hands-on experience in supporting managing the complexities of a children’s home. You will bring a deep-seated passion for using therapeutic approaches in the care of young people. Holding a Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential for the SRCCW post.
Salford City Council is committed to diversity and inclusion and welcomes applications from all parts of the community.
