Here at P&O Ferries we are seeking an Freight Marketing Executive to join our team based in Woking on a Permanent basis. This is an opportunity to work as part of the Freight Sales team to refresh existing marketing material, and bring your own creativity and experience to the role to professionalise all marketing formats, quantity and quality work needed. The individual will need to be comfortable standing in a stand alone role only focussing on Freight marketing, whilst following and aligning with existing brand initiatives in place. The successful candidate will have a proven record in the customer service environment, working within a team and with the ability to communicate clearly to different stakeholders and customers, be pro-active in dealing with any issues that arise as well as being able to think on their feet. The role is based our Dover office, and could have hybrid working flexibility once full onboarding is complete. Key responsibilities and duties: Phase of audit of marketing needs which will include: current corporate documentation, content on website & intranet etc marketing initiatives from competition actions Carry an internal survey with key stakeholders to establish roadmap Submit a Marketing Plan to leadership team including priority tasks to be carried, including identification of responsible parties timeline of roll out of the various initiatives Lead and manage the performance of all digital performance-led marketing channels for Freight Sales Help lead and manage the P&O social media in relation to Freight content strategy and calendar for all owned channels, monitoring performance to inform content decisions and align with business priorities. Manage and analysis digital performance across all channels Work with the Freight Sales team to assist in the production and optimisation of all owned digital content assets for social channels inline with the brand guidelines. Responsible to work on the following needed initiatives: Marketing campaigns on existing freight sales solutions Clear and detailed value propositions documents for all routes and products Increased Social media visibility targeting freight customers Digital selling : marketing automation, lead generation, reactivation of lost business Mapping of all trade fairs, interest for P&O to participate The ideal candidate will Be a self-starter and able to work successfully on own initiative, as well as part of a team, and under supervision Excellent stakeholder management and ability to build relationships Have excellent attention to detail Good command of English, both written and verbal Be able to prioritise, organise and manage time efficiently Have excellent communication skills Have full working knowledge of MS Applications Have the ability to multi task Customer focused with the ability to empathise with customers Have experience managing and creating content on social Use multi-channel content development Be strong in Social copywriting Have experience using social scheduling & reporting tools such as Sprout Social Excellent written English and copywriting skills Desirable: 2-3 years experience in a marketing role Experience with a service provider in the logistics and transport space OR in a B2B environment Location – Woking, Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
