Job summary We would like to appoint a full-time Business Support Assistant to the Acute Specialised Commissioning team. This is an opportunity to gain experience and understanding of specialised service commissioning within the NHS working at provider, system, regional and national levels. The successful candidate will be part of an extremely busy, yet effective, team supporting the delivery of high quality and cost-effective specialised services for patients. The main duties will be to support colleagues across the region with commissioning, contracting, monitoring performance, improvement and relationship management. Previous experience supporting a team would be useful along with knowledge and ability to handle sensitive enquiries. Noting that currently this post sits within NHS England as from April 2025 it is anticipated, subject to due process, the team will be hosted by and Integrated Care Board (ICB) in the Midlands.
