Perkins and Will London office are currently recruiting for talented Senior Interior Designers, with experience in corporate interiors. Successful candidates should have a solid experience in a professional practice. You will need to demonstrate exceptional design and conceptual skills, track record in dealing with clients, strong presentation skills, and be able to support design excellence through all stages of a project from inception through to completion. General Office Responsibilities
* Represent the practice and raise its profile in a positive manner.
* Contribute to the development of the practice.
* Work harmoniously with Principals, Associates and other members of staff.
* Maintain an accurate record (diary) of all meetings and actions. This diary remains the property of the office.
* Attend CPD’s on a regular basis and maintain an up to date CPD record.
* Regularly contribute to Design Reviews by way of gathering and presenting information.
* Manage the development of tender proposals.
* Manage the preparation of tender presentation material.
* Lead/assist with the presentation of proposals to clients.
Project Responsibilities
* Develop design proposals with the Project Lead and team members for presentation to the client. This will include concept ideas, development of layouts, finishes, materials, and furniture.
* Collect client brief and prepare the project briefing documents.
* Prepare design and production information with pre-agreed programme and cost parameters.
* Specify products and materials. Investigate suitability for use, sustainability, and maintenance procedures.
* Specification of furniture desking systems and integration with IT.
* Attend client presentation meetings and other project meetings as appropriate.
* Review construction work on site as required.
* Assist to ensure smooth handover of project to client.
* Report project issues to Project Lead on a regular basis.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Software skills including Revit, AutoCad, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign are essential.
* Successful candidate should be willing to act as design mentor to more junior members of staff within the team.
* Must have experience in a similar role.
* Excellent design and technical knowledge of and ability to undertake ongoing research of furniture systems, products, finishes and materials.
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate a team.
* An understanding of clients’ requirements and experience of client liaison.
* Demonstrate an understanding of P+W’s work.
* Experience of fast track projects from inception to completion.
* Client management skills and exceptional presentation skills.
* Work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Willingness to listen and learn from all members of the team.
* Build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
* Working knowledge of Building regulations, British Standards and other relevant statutory legislation.
* A degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture.
* Understanding of financial aspects of running a design project on time and on budget is desirable.
