We are recruiting for a full-time Quality Manager in Bridgnorth. The ideal candidate will have extensive prior experience of managing / maintaining a ISO9001 Quality Management System, ideally within a manufacturing or automotive environment, and the relevant technical experience to identify, investigate and resolve potential quality issues. Quality Manager duties: Take ownership of the Quality Management System and Quality Policy, ensuring that we maintain our ISO9001 approval status. Designing & maintaining quality standards, procedures and specifications for the SNG Group. Ensuring that all processes meet safety, legal and other national or international standards. Reviewing / auditing existing procedures to ensure they meet the current guidelines. Ensuring that supplied parts (in-house and external supplier) meet necessary requirements. Reviewing customer expectations and making sure they are met. Analysing, identifying and implementing manufacturing and/or business process improvements which will improve capability and performance. Minimising internal and external quality escapes. Providing quality assurance technical expertise to support manufacturing. Reviewing and testing of sample / first article parts. Inspecting parts / materials for defects as appropriate. Analysing products under various controlled working conditions to determine product performance. Leading the resolution of quality related customer issues. Troubleshooting problems or flaws in the item as appropriate. Identifying problems, participating in investigations, then collaborating to design and implement effective solutions. Working hours: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) between the core hours of 08:00 and 18:00. Quality Manager Essential skills, qualities, and experience: Experience of managing / maintaining a ISO9001 Quality Management System. Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to think logically and methodically. Good interpersonal and organisational skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively. Quality Manager Desirable skills, qualities, and experience: Previous experience in quality leadership Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems In-depth knowledge of national or international industry regulations. Experience of working in a Continuous Improvement culture and using Lean tools & techniques [highly desirable].
