Applyingexperience to design & develop sub-system solutions, resolveengineering issues and problems, and provide guidance to others fora range of software products as part of a 70 strong software teamwithin the Product & Training Services area of BAE SystemsMaritime Services
Providingtechnical expertise across the software team for the ongoingmaintenance of software that is part of the naval radars that arein service with the Royal Navy on multiple platforms Providingtechnical expertise across the software team for the requirements,design, implementation, testing and verification of the softwaresubsystems on Navalradars Providingtechnical expertise for the design and development of subsystemsincluding replacement of obsolete hardware and software to maintainand enhance the capability of the radar products for theRN Providingguidance and work as part of a cohesive team of software engineersacross multiple projects andproducts
Your skills andexperiences:
~ BEng/BScin Computer Science or other relevant Engineering or Numeratesubject (technology, engineering or science related discipline) anda CEng or equivalent level of capability or working towards CEngstatus Considerable experience of using at least one highlevel programming language Considerable experience of using a high-leveldesign methodology (e.g. UML) Experienced of all aspects of a software lifecycleand good knowledge of software lifecycle models (e.g. Waterfall,Agile)

The Sampson Radar Softwareteam: TheSampson Radar Software team is a 30 personnel group that providessupport and capability upgrades to the Royal Navy and theirproducts. This role will deliver software products to the customeras part of a team delivering enhancements over the next 10 years,as well as providing ongoing support to existing products.
